Thrashers Team Report
(Wed, 28 Jul 2010 23:20:20 PDT)
When it came to rounding out his coaching staff, Craig Ramsay decided to go with two familiar faces, John Torchetti and Mike Stothers.
Torchetti, a candidate for the Thrashers' head coaching job before GM Rick Dudley decided to hire Ramsay, has worked alongside Dudley in Chicago, Tampa Bay and Florida.
Torchetti, the top assistant with the Blackhawks last season, will officially be Atlanta's associate head coach. Stothers will be the club's top assistant.
Stothers most recently served as head coach of the American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins and was an assistant coach on Ramsay's staff in Philadelphia from 2000 to 2002.
Atlanta has yet to hire a goaltending coach to replace Steve Weeks and might instead simply rely on a goaltending consultant to...
